About Us - the ibd Eastern Group

The ibd Eastern Group meets once a month to discuss the general issues which confront small and medium-sized businesses, and which impact on our own business advisory services, and to share knowledge and experience with each other.

In addition to networking, and sharing experiences and opportunities, there is traditionally a guest speaker on a subject of mutual interest, sometimes from outside the organization, as part of our commitment to ongoing professional development.

The group has an enormously varied background – a summary of the various individuals’ experience and expertise is shown in the Business Services section – and we work in concert to help improve the efficiency and profitability of our clients’ businesses. As specialists in our individual fields, we can add value to each other’s enterprises; as small business generalists, we act in concert to ensure that the businesses we advise get the very best executive help available in whichever specialist field is required. The value for money which we offer is second to none.

As a general principle, the Eastern group works throughout East Anglia and Eastern England, although many members handle business outside this boundary.

We work with other organizations, such as major banks and firms of accountants, to bring our unique collection of skills to their client base and to add value to their own offering. The group is also a member of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, and therefore of all the other Chambers of Commerce which are affiliated to it. Our services are therefore available to any member company of any of those Chambers of Commerce.
